If you love Bump and Offspring, you need to watch the Stan Original Series Year Of.

Streaming service Stan has just released the trailer for the new Stan Original Series Year Of – and it's one to add to your watch list immediately.

The story follows a group of inner-city teenagers during their final two years of high school. But Year Of is far from a wholesome tale, as this dark Aussie drama explores a tragic event that upturns their lives.

The new series premieres June 9, with all episodes dropping at once and only available on Stan.

Year Of follows several students and their community through their last two years at Jubilee High School – and if the name of the school sounds familiar, you must be a Bump fan, as it's one and the same. This series takes place in the same community as Stan Original Series Bump, this time following a rag-tag group of high schoolers as they attempt to navigate a tragedy.

The event shakes the entire community, it forces our characters onto a journey of self-discovery and makes them question everything they believe while they try to find themselves.

The series begins when a group of Year 11 students gatecrash a Year 12 house party, the loveable yet morally dubious crew – Tulley, Mo, Priya, Kate, Maya, George and Gus – attending for what they expect will be a night of fun. But the night has something else in store entirely.

In Year Of, hope, humour and love define the small group whose lives are turned upside down, and they learn to flourish as surprise allegiances are formed, rivalries are broken and unexpected romances begin.

The series stars newcomers Sam Alston (Thor: Love and Thunder, RFDS), Tharanya Tharan (More Than This), Joshua Hewson, Samuel El Rahi (Flow, Progenitor Cryptocides), Isabella Graiche, Ira Dawson, Nicholas Cradock(Hardball), and Sophia Wright-Mendelsohn (Deadloch).

While it's set in the same high school, Year Of offers a grittier world than we saw in Bump, as privileged teens from wealthy communities intermix with kids from social housing and rural neighbourhoods, shining a light on different aspects of society than the original series.

Year Of bravely discusses complicated topics including class divide, drug use, complex family dynamics and privilege – and is definitely one to watch this June.

The brand new Stan Original Series Year Of premieres June 9, all episodes at once, and only on Stan.
