Oh. Dear. God.
As if skinny jeans weren’t already near impossible to get on and off, along come Spanx jeans.
Spanx jeans. Jeans made from Spanx.
We have so many questions.
‘Are they just like compression pants but denim?’

We have so many questions.
‘Are they just like compression pants but denim?’
‘How do you get them off?’
‘No really, I already get stuck in skinny jeans. How do you get them off?’
‘What kind of craziness is this?’
Well friends, we have Sara Blakely, the woman behind the billion-dollar shapewear company, to thank for giving us the gift of Spanx jeans.
Priced at $148 – Spanx will offer skinny, straight and boot-cut silhouettes in two styles: the Signature, a high, wide waistband with a side zipper designed for a smooth fit and a 10.5-inch rise, and the Slim X, a traditional five-pocket jean with a stomach control panel and a 9.25-inch rise.
Nup, not sold. You?
Launching in July, the jeans will be made from a blend of cotton, polyester and Lycra. How much Lycra, we’re not sure.
“I see Spanx as a lifestyle brand that is delighting women in making things fit better and feel better on the body and not just through compression,” Blakely told Women’s Wear Daily. “We’re known for making you look thinner and more toned, but it can just be about a better cut and fit.”
Blakely is also expected to continue her plans for world domination with the introduction Spanx bras (comfortable and smoothing not flattening) in six to eight months.
Meanwhile, we’ve found the only two people who are deliriously happy at the idea of Spanx jeans:
So, Spanx jeans, terrific or terrifying?

Men wore tights for centuries, they can sit this round out if they want. :)
