Sonia Kruger has a brand new hosting gig. And it’s nothing to do with Big Brother.
TV host / new mama Sonia Kruger has just been announced as Darren McMullen’s co-host for The Voice Australia‘s fourth season. Here they are standing next to one another on a promotional poster. Which probably possibly definitely means they’re the very best of friends.

This news comes weeks after British pop star Jessie J was announced as one of the new judges on Nine’s popular show. Jessie will be joined by Ricky Martin, Delta Goodrem and Good Charlotte’s Joel and Benji Madden.
This is Sonia’s first gig after giving birth to her first child, daughter Maggie, in January after a much-publicised pregnancy.

“When it comes to big shiny floor shows it doesn’t get any better than The Voice and I’m looking forward to being front and centre co-hosting with my new buddy Darren,” Sonia told the SMH.
It seems the appreciation is mutual.
“I get paid the same amount of money to do half the work,” Darren joked to News.com.au. “When is that ever going to be a bad thing?”

“There’s a really good camaraderie between me and Sonia and we always have a laugh so if that translates into The Voice that’ll be great. Plus, if there’s any stuff ups I’m not solely to blame now!”
The blind auditions will kick off in Sydney on Wednesday and the show is expected to air later this year.
