From just another nepo baby to certified It Girl: The evolution of Sofia Richie.

Okay, but we need to talk about Sofia Richie. Because the internet can't get enough of her.

She's everywhere right now. And I'm OBSESSED.

The 24-year-old model, who has worked with major fashion brands (such as Dolce & Gabbana, Elle, and Vogue) and is also the beauty director of makeup brand Nudestix, has unpredictably just become the new It Girl.

And we're FROTHING over everything she does, from her style to her sleek, minimalistic beauty looks.

Just take a glance at some of the comments on her recent TikTok posts.

She started the account just days before her Cannes wedding and the people... they just... love her.

It's honestly quite refreshing.

One comment reads "THE ✨️IT✨️GIRL HAS FINALLY JOINED US!!!"

Another reads "Omg, I never want this wedding to end." (SAME.)

There's also this: "I just realized I’ve never heard her voice before." (Also, same.)

Followed by thousands upon thousands of other similar comments:

"THIS IS SUCH A TREAT."

"THE PEOPLE’S PRINCESS."

Etc.

The wedding has been described as the Superbowl. The royal wedding. The best thing that happened this year.

Listen: You know what? We also talked about every product Sofia Richie put on her face in the lead-up to her wedding on You Beauty – because, of course we did. Post continues below.

In case you had your headphones in or something, Richie recently married music executive Elliot Grainge on the French Riviera, (all of the details are here). The pair had been engaged for a year.

Her dad is Lionel Richie and her sister is Nicole Richie. His dad is the Chairman and CEO of Universal Music.

In the days leading up to the wedding, Richie documented her (exclusively Chanel) outfits, together with her glowing, fresh beauty looks.

And there's just something in her quiet, cool-girl glamour and style that only makes us want more. She's the definition of effortless chic.

It got me thinking – and I admit, I'm absolutely LIVING for her content – but why are we all suddenly so obsessed with her?

For some reason, I really care about everything she wears and puts on her face right now.

Why? Like, I hadn't even heard her speak until last week?

Or is it because I actually did finally hear her speak? And she sounds kind of normal despite being extremely rich?

HARD TO SAY.

But as we discussed on the You Beauty podcast, I think it comes down to a few things.

Let me explain.

Back in 2016, Richie gained a lot of public interest during her four-month relationship with Justin Bieber, before moving into a three-year relationship with Scott Disick from 2017 to 2020.

Despite this, she truly wasn't on many people's radar prior to her wedding, which I think has kind of added to the mystery.

However, as my producer Mikayla Floriano suggested, in the lead-up to her wedding, Richie has made a few seriously smart decisions that have paid off – and they made her wedding and herself a serious moment.

Here's what she did:

1. She launched her TikTok with her married name – Sophia Richie Grainge – right before the wedding.

2. She had Vogue cover the behind-the-scenes of her wedding.

3. She's partnered with Chanel.

The result?

Suddenly, she's gone from 'Scott Disick's young girlfriend' to a married It Girl who dresses exclusively in Chanel – and we are HERE for it.

I mean, I'm no fashion girl – but it's the best style evolution I've ever seen.

As Bustle points out, it's giving 'quiet luxury'. She looks both modest and chic at the same time, echoing a total 'old money' vibe.

In TikTok's words, she an 'unproblematic nepo baby'.

The wedding was a week-long affair, and if you're anything like me, you found yourself devouring every photo. Every video. Every GRWM in a French manison (CAN'T. TOO POOR. BUT WILL WATCH).

For example, there's a clip of Richie skipping down the aisle during the rehearsal, while the wedding party cheered her on. A colleague of mine at Mamamia (hey, Kee!), said she watched it four times and didn't even... want to.

Yet, here we are. Because it all just looks so wildly perfect and lovely and the tiniest bit unlike the 'usual' celebs we follow.

I mean, can we just...

I cannot.

But then also, the party! The wedding party.

Amidst the wave of timelessly chic, luxurious vibes, a guest posted a clip of Richie dancing on-stage at the reception, with her brother-in-law Joel Madden (Nicole Richie's husband) singing Good Charlotte's Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous – and it's just so ironic and amazing and UGH.

On TikTok, one fan wrote: "Everyone's obsessing over her looks. I'm obsessed with her being barefoot acting like a total club rat dancing along to Good Charlotte in custom Chanel. This woman is my religion."

Now excuse me while I refresh my feed. The honeymoon hasn't even started.
