After a tumultuous year of Bachelor, Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise break ups and scandals (we’re looking at you – Honey Badger), Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski’s wedding is everything we could’ve hoped for.
We watched the couple fall in love on the third season of The Bachelor in 2015 and last Thursday they finally tied the knot.
Now, we’ve done some serious investigation (a.k.a Instagram stalking) and found all the hidden details in the couple’s wedding.
Inside the venue.
The couple exchanged their vows at Byron Bay’s Fig Tree Restaurant, a converted farmhouse overlooking the hinterland and offering ocean views.
The venue’s garden ceremonies take place underneath the 150-year-old Moreton Bay fig tree before guests move to the nearby pool area for cocktails and canapes.
Dinner is served either “beneath the stars” on the lower lawn or inside the restaurant.
The venue website says: “Weddings at the Fig Tree Restaurant encapsulate everything a Byron Bay wedding is all about; country charm, rolling hills, ocean views, beautiful gardens and a relaxed, yet sophisticated ambience.”
Wedding planners Byron Bay Weddings list the venue as holding 80 guests. It is priced at $4000 on a Thursday (and up to $6500 on Saturdays and public holidays) and couples are also required to hire one of their two boutique accommodation homes for at least two nights. The Dairy sleeps six and costs $2200 for two nights and the Sunrise House sleeps eight and costs $2600 for two nights.
