Just when you thought it was safe to do a wee, snakes are now LIVING IN TOILETS.

What a bloody year.

Raining spiders in Goulburn, beefed up kangaroos terrorising dogs and joggers in Brisbane and now this:

I’ve had it, Australia.

I get it. I do. You’re an inhospitable wasteland, and we have no business putting porcelain toilet bowls in you, but really, C’MON.

Apparently, this is just one small part of a 3 metre carpet python found by a former tradesman (clearly, he has now been committed) in northern QLD.

It was removed by snake-catcher/amateur photographer Elliot Budd, who was also responsible for the nightmarish image above, which is now circulating on social media.

This was the second snake (the first was a piddling 2.4 metres long) to be rescued, from a toilet, by Budd — within a week. JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Apparently, it is usual for snakes to seek out water sources during breeding season, but not so usual for them to wet their whistle in your U-bend.

Reptile expert Professor Lin Schwarzkopf told the Guardian they were becoming increasingly desperate due to dry conditions.

“They can fit in under doors,” she said. “There’s not much you can do.”

THERE’S NOT MUCH YOU CAN DO.

Except leave, obviously.

Nice knowing you, Homeland.
