mamamia out-loud

11-year-old Jordan just invented a prosthetic arm that shoots out glitter.

What were you doing when you were 11 years old? Riding bikes, playing with toys, having slumber parties?

Jordan Reeves, age 11, from Columbia, Missouri has already designed, created and pitched her idea to the  Shark Tank investors.

The budding inventor was born with half an arm that ends above the elbow, which she adorably calls her ‘lucky fin’, just like in Finding Nemo.

Her tween dream is to have a career as a 3D designer, and she’s already on her way having created a prosthetic arm that shoots glitter. Yes, you read that correctly: Reeves invented a custom-fit, wearable GLITTER BLASTER.

The 11-year-old didn’t stop there, either.

She took her fabulous invention, named ‘Project Unicorn’, on the Rachael Ray Show to pitch to the Shark Tank investors for a special segment.

“You can never be sad with sparkles, so I created an arm that shoots just that,” she said.

The invention is mostly 3D printed and uses compressed air to shoot out the glitter.

When the Sharks asked what she would sell her wearable glitter blaster for, Reeves modestly said four dollars. A price tag of $100 might be closer to to the mark, but the 11-year old’s goal isn’t retail. Rather she wants to “revolutionize 3D-printing for the medical community and inclusive designs.”

Well, we could all use some more sparkle in our lives.

So well done Jordan Reeves — your Shark Tank glitter arm has given us life. Congratulations on being this week’s Kick Arse Woman Doing Kick Arse Things of Kickarsery.
