Oh dear…
Shannon Noll rose to fame as the second runner up in the 2003 debut season of Australian Idol.
However, it seems that some of his fans were not so impressed with his performance of the Australian National Anthem at Cox Plate in Victoria’s Moonee Valley.
The 39-year-old crooned along to a more subdued rendition of the anthem, with many taking to Twitter to express their frustration.
Harsh, guys.
It wasn't all bad news though. Some of Noll's fans did blame the "poor sound quality" for his vocal performance. One tweeter even told him he was the perfect man for the anthem-singing job.
In reply, Shannon Noll used his own Twitter account to address the #haters by saying "haha, get stuffed mate!", but this tweet was later deleted.
