Fluff: Shakira reveals she must get permission from her boyfriend to make music videos.

Shakira has revealed in an interview that her boyfriend won’t let her shake her hips anymore – at least not for anyone but him.

She told Billboard Magaine that she’s ‘not allowed’ to do sexy music videos these days, because her footballer bf Gerard Piqué gets ‘territorial’ about his ‘turf’:

“He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women,” she says with a laugh. “It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to. It’s out of the question – which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.”

So, according to Shakira’s boyfriend:

Music videos where she embraces her sexuality like she has done her entire career: BAD

Music videos where she pretends to be a lesbian with Rihanna: GOOD

Shakira as an independent woman who can make her own creative choices: LOL NO

Shakira as ‘turf’ that needs to be protected by a territorial man: PRETTY MUCH

She says that she likes it, and that it’s all just a sign of him ‘valuing’ her, but could be argued that a boyfriend who makes his partner get permission to do stuff doesn’t exactly ‘value’ that wife…
