Ah, Halloween. The one time of the year when the word ‘sexy’ can be added to the front of any profession and passed off as a totally acceptable costume.
While sexy nurse, sexy flight attendant, sexy barmaid, sexy police officer and sexy online writer for a women’s website (surely?) costumes have become so common we don’t know whether to laugh or cry, a new ‘sexy’ halloween costume has entirely failed to make the grade.
Let’s just say hell hath no fury like a bunch of proud PhD-holding women– who won’t let a multinational company get away with objectifying them like this:
Because honestly girls, no one will take you seriously if you work for years to be at the top of your professional field. You just gotta look HOT. OK?
The remarkable reviews ‘real’ PhD candidates left on Amazon sum up our views on this Halloween costume perfectly. I mean, it’s kinda the wrong colour, right?
Though, don’t you think it’s a bit “reverse sexist” if there is no “sexy male PhD” costume? Why should the ladies get all the satiny fun?
And won’t somebody think of the children!
Check out some more sass from the PhD grads below – or add your own piece of wisdom here.
Nailed. It.
What do you think of the sexy Halloween Phd costume? What’s the most ridiculous Halloween costume you’ve ever seen?

What I want to know is, where is the puffy hat? (At both of my alma maters, PhD graduates wore puffy trenchers - is that not standard?)
No, it's standard; I think one of the comments points this out as a flaw. I don't know whether to look forward to wearing that hat or not at my graduation in a couple of years' time!
Own the puffy hat, Squish!! You would've earned it :)
