Seven Year Switch's Jason and Michelle decide to end their marriage after the show.

Seven years and two kids into their relationship, Jason and Michelle realised their romance was not right in many ways. But after taking part in the social experiment of Seven Year Switch it seemed like they were finally on the right track.

On last week’s finale of the show, the pair decided to stay together, with Jason saying, “My decision is that I want us to have the happiest family and I want us to be those oldies at the pub playing bingo. I know our relationship can be painful at times and I’m trying to be better,” Jason said.

Michelle reciprocated Jason’s feelings, adding, “You love me even when I can be awful. Even through it all we’re still here. We’re still trying and that’s so brilliant. A lot of people would give up. You’re wonderful and I love you.”

But it seems their intentions weren't enough to get them through, with the pair revealing on the reunion episode of the show that they have since decided to separate.

"We were just suffering under each other's pressure," Michelle said.

"It was a very hard decision to make. I was trying everything. I can honestly say I tried everything possible. We just got to the point where we talked about it and realised the best thing for us to do was to separate," Jason added.

"I love Jason, I love him with all my heart and I still do. He is my best friend and I am the luckiest woman in the world because I got to have my babies with my best friend. We will be in each other's lives forever and I couldn't imagine a better person than that to be with Jason," Michelle explained.

"We will always be a we. We might not live in the same house anymore but we will always be family. I love my children more than I could ever be angry or dislike him. No matter what he does or chooses to do in his lifetime he is still my children's father and I love them and so they need him so I need him," she went on.

While Jason and Michelle are no longer are couple, it's refreshing to see they were so amicable towards each other and will both continue to be a part of their children's lives.
