In a very cringe-worthy moment on live TV last night, the set of Seven News collapsed around newsreader Melissa Doyle.
While she was beginning a segment about a proposed Sydney train link, there was sudden loud crashing sound (post continues after video):
Doyle didn’t miss a beat, remaining very calm and professional. Chances are, most of us would have fled the scene.
But she only winced slightly before lightheartedly saying “hopefully we’ll get something fixed in the studio.”
She later joked on Twitter about the situation.
Luckily, no staff were injured behind the scenes as a result of the collapse, although it remains unclear as to what actually happened to cause the collapse.
