Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn Beckham and Selena Gomez. The 'throuple' we didn't see coming.

Sleepovers, movie nights, adventures in the kitchen. There’s a new “throuple” in Hollywood and we are here for it. 

Because just a year after saying “I do” in one of the fanciest weddings we’ve ever seen* (*gazed at from afar on social media), Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have opened up their relationship, and Selena Gomez is the lucky third. 

Ok, ok, not REALLY. But they’re all close, like super close, and we can’t tell if it’s ridiculously adorable or downright cringy.

It all came tumbling out when Selena, 30, went to interview the newish-newlyweds for Wondermind, as its Founder, Chief Impact Officer and “close friend of the couple”, about life in the spotlight.

They’d been discussing fame, attention-induced anxiety and therapy when the former Disney star said that it was “important to surround yourself with people who are like-minded and “love you for you”.

“And I think that’s what I’ve appreciated about our friendship,” she said. 

“Oh yeah, that’s the best thing you can do in life is surround yourself with amazing people,” Brooklyn chimed in.

Laughing, Selena replied, “I feel lucky to be a part of you guys and our little throuple.”

“Honestly, you’re the best,” said Brooklyn. 

Now it was Nicola Peltz’s turn to jump in.

“Our throuple! I love you so much,” the Welcome to Chippendales actress gushed. “Selena, we love you so much, you have no idea.”

And what is this love affair based on? The same love language according to Nicola. 

“I think we speak the same love language where it’s like, we never really go out in LA, we are with our six dogs now, we’re always working or with the dogs,” she explained.

“And when we’re hanging out, it’s always like sleeping over with Gracie [Selena’s nine-year-old half-sister] and Brooklyn’s cooking, we’re watching a movie and that’s the best. 

“The best moments are just like when you don’t have to do anything. You can just be with the people you love, and it makes me so happy, and I’m also such a homebody.” 

Selena agreed. “I love it so much.”

The famous trio even welcomed in the New Year together with a trip to Mexico.

“Love you guys,” the son of David and Victoria Beckham wrote on Instagram with a series of holiday snaps. In one the 24-year-old faced off with Seena in a tough Jenga match. While in another, Selena cosied up to Nicola. 

His wife’s profile is also stocked with images of the girls together.

“Celebrating our Golden girlie,” the 28-year-old wrote in January, alongside a photo of the three. “So proud of you Selena. I love you so much!”

And yes, the internet is most definitely eating up this content. 

“Selena + Nicola (+ Brooklyn) = a friendship I can’t get enough of.”

“I love this trio.” 

“I ship this so hard.”

“Fine,” Selena wrote on her own post from the NYE trip to Cabo, which featured a series of photos of the 30-year-old with Mr and Mrs Peltz Beckham, including one of them all laying down on a boat and cuddling. Or spooning. Brooklyn's arm is under both girls, while Selena's hand is on his other arm with Nicola in the middle. 

“Call us a throuple #foreverplusone.”
