Why is it relentlessly reported that Tony Abbott is against gay marriage as if he's the only politician with those views?
Julia Gillard voted against gay marriage as well and it's Labor Party policy too.
I don't agree with any of them - I believe gay marriage should be legal.
But if there is ever to be any hope of change, forums like this must take all politicians to task about their views, not just stick it to TA to take the flak when the majority of them share the same stance.
The PM does not support gay marriage either and she is the one at the moment with the ability to try and push change through the parliament - not Mr Abbott - so why doesn't she criticised for her views??
Just saying.
