One year ago, at 9:30 am, Adam Lanza shot his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School.
He killed 26 people, including 20 children.
Since the horrific shooting, the American President, Barack Obama, has taken out 23 executive actions on gun violence, the White House has issued a report, claiming four focus areas to prevent mass shootings occurring again. Of particular interest is the recommendation to improve mental health services and facilities. But politically, there is a long way to go.
In tribute to one of the Sandy Hook victims, six-year-old Emilie Parker, her parents, Robbie and Alissa, have released this video – “Evil Did Not Win”.
Honouring Emilie’s memory, the video documents parts of Emilie’s life, her death and how her parents are dedicated to continuing the love and beauty which Emilie brought to this world.
Despite terrible tragedy occurring, almost far too often, this video truly reminds us that evil does not win. Even in the face of extreme adversity, it will not win and never will. And, let’s remember this, as we reflect on the lost lives of the victims and the still suffering families of Sandy Hook, on this sad anniversary.

Gun law reforms will not prevent this evil from happening.
Psychos and criminals are not affected by laws and will continue on their " merry " way.
I haven't watched - I am not in the mood to break down and weep. And there's been another shooting in Colorado! Oh, why will they never learn?
