real life

Sam Frost just sold her $58,000 engagement ring for a LOT of money.

What’s the price of a failed relationship and national recognition?

You may remember Sam Frost as the jilted ex-lover of Bachie Blake and (because of this) the world’s luckiest woman from last year’s season of The Bachelor.

The one worthwhile thing Frost got from her whole Bachelor experience was a big sparkler, and she’s has just sold the diamond engagement ring for a very nice amount of coin.

Frost was very keen to get rid of the ring: “It’s time to get this thing out of my life because as much as I love good jokes, this is one I’d rather forget.”

The bling, which is worth $58,000 and was hand-picked by The Bachelor producers Blake, was sold in an online auction via website Leonard Joel. And while Frost didn’t get the full price back, she got a helluva lot more than she was expecting.

Leonard Joel confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the final bid was $31,720. Apparently, a private bidder won the auction over the phone.

We bet you $31,720 next week Lipstick Louise will confirm her engagement to Bachie Blake and step out with a very similar ring…

Or maybe Blake’s mum bought it as memorabilia.

Or maybe Osher nabbed it and will use it for this year’s Bachelor finale.

As to what she’s doing with the money, all round great person Sam Frost is going to donate a chunk to charity. And then pay of some credit card bills.

Do what you want, Sam. You deserve it for having to fess up to the fact you were once engaged to Australia’s biggest sleaze.

I'm always a bit sceptical when people say they are 'donating some to charity'. Nothing again Sam, and not calling her a liar, I just wonder if people feel obliged to say that and pressured to do it.

I would have had it reset. That diamond was far too big to let go...
