Sam Frost posted a makeup-free selfie to her young fans a reality check.

“What you see in magazines and on TV is the result of hours in the makeup chair.”

The Bachelorette Sam Frost has already won masses of fans with her goofily sweet manner and ability to call out the more pretentious among the bachelors (international model David, we’re looking at you.)

But the Network Ten star just catapulted herself to next-level legend territory — by posting a makeup-free selfie along with some down-to-earth remarks about her appearance.

The 26-year-old Victorian reality star wrote in her Instagram caption that she wanted to remind young fans what she looks like sans professional hair and makeup styling.

“I feel very flattered when young girls comment on my photos or send me DMs about how much they look up to me and they want to be as pretty as me. Which is so lovely and adorable,” she wrote.

“but this is the every day me… no filter, no edits, dark circles, messy hair, break outs, uneven skin tone. And I wouldn’t change anything about myself!,”

“What you see in magazines and on TV is the result of hours in the makeup chair with very talented H&MU Artist – I’ve said it before, but it’s what I live by… love yourself, be yourself, exactly the way you are xo.”

Celebrities’ makeup-free selfies are often met with a mix of criticism and praise, but the response to Frost’s is all positive.

“Such a great role model for our daughters. Thank you Sam,” one social media user wrote.
Another added: “thank you for showing young girls you don’t need junk on your face to be beautiful.”

Yet another Instagram user commented: “You are just stunning Sam. Inside and out.”

It’s not the first time marketing coordinator Frost has gone makeup-free for the camera.

In April she posted a similar image, captioning it:

“The reality • no make-up • no filter • no edits • just me, dark circles, patchy tan, blemished face, uneven eyebrows, dirty hair… and while I have fun getting dolled up. Young girls shouldn’t scroll their instagram and have a unrealistic idea of what they should look like.

“Do you, and love you. Exactly the way you are.”

Lady-crush status: Confirmed.
