Sunrise co-host Sam Armytage is often tabloid fodder, critiqued over her outfits or the fact that she’s not a size 10.
But Sam won’t let anyone else control how she feels about her body, and proves it with the new cover of the Australian Women’s Weekly, on which the 38-year-old appears wearing swimsuit.
“If everyone wants me in a swimsuit, it might as well be on my terms,” she told the publication.
Sam said she never used to have a problem with going to the beach in her swimmers, because no one cared. “Now, I always think twice before going to Bondi. In fact, I can’t really swim there anymore.”

Of her cover shoot, the TV host said the idea of the swimsuit shoot scared her, but she did it anyway.
“The Weekly called me and asked me if I would do it. I’m not vain enough to think I am Gisele, but I am also not lacking in confidence to think I’m not some type of scrubber who should not wear swimmers. Plus, I’ve never done a swimsuit shoot before. They are terrifying words together.”
Sam Armytage got pranked this morning. But is the joke hilarious or seriously bad taste?
And while Sam hears a lot about everyone else’s opinion on her weight – in fact, she told Mamamia‘s Kate Leaver that she’s a target because she’s not a size 10 – she knows the only opinion that really matters is her own.
“I don’t describe myself as curvy. I’d describe myself as quite strong and healthy, nothing terribly flash. Take me as I am.”

What about the photoshop fail of her right arm (our left) for the cover? The magazine includes two shots with the same pose. Her right arm has clearly been doctored for the cover. And I think it super odd that the magazine article calls out the size of the swim suits she wore, particularly when she says she's over the scrutiny of her size.
Nothing against Samantha...but her PR machine needs to take a break - it's getting pretty repetitive and boring..her shape, weight, clothing choices, swimwear choices, and opinion of these..yawn
