We all know what resting b*tch face is, and some lucky (or not so lucky) people out there have resting nice face. But Ryan Reynolds claims he has a resting face of a different kind.
The revelation came when Entertainment Weekly asked Reynolds about a certain photo taken at Taylor Swift's fourth of July weekend away.
While everyone else in the snap looks happy and loved-up, the 40-year-old expression appeared to be a mixture of boredom and depression, resulting in the impression that he did not want to be there.
Fans noticed what appeared to be potentially a cry for help from Reynolds, with many memes and funny tweets created using his face.
Now, the actor has told the magazine there was a simple explanation: he has a 'resting sad face'.
"No, that's a problem I've had all my life," the father-of-two responded to suggestions he was upset.
"If I'm not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying.
"I had no idea somebody was taking a photo. Therefore, I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth."
Well, there you have it.

I think he just didn't want to be in this cutesy very posed photo that was a big PR set up... just like the couple to the left!
She may have two children, but he is after all 11 years senior to his wife who still plays in that generation after all. I think we're seeing her mental emotional age gap at play here.
He wasn’t aware that his photo was being taken, in the most staged tableaux ever, in the company of a woman who has her "spontaneous attractive pics of me and my squad" professionally taken for her social media accounts. Okay Ryan. Whatever you say.
