When somebody yelled out “Gandhi is a c###!” at a recent Russell Brand show, they would not have been expecting him to handle it like this.
It’s a heated exchange of hilarious perfection.
Total pro.
What do you think of the Russell Brand take down?

The heckler may well have had an interesting point though. Ghandi was certainly not the 'hero' he is made out to be, despite what popular legend has dictated to the world.
That would be fine, except that's kind of exactly the point Russell was trying to make on stage, that figures we make out as living messiahs are in fact flawed human beings. The guy in the audience was just being a self-important moron, exercising the self-control of a four-year-old.
Years ago I saw Ben Elton in concert, and some idiot kept clapping and calling, "Wooohoooo!' First time okay. By the third, Elton said, 'Did you see the sign out the front mate? It says Rik Mayall and Ben Elton. Not Rik Mayall and Ben Elton, and some fuckwit going "Wooohoooo!" Not as good as Russell Brand, but appropriate under the circumstances. It must be so frustrating to be heckled for a comedian as it impacts upon your timing, and let's face it, timing is EVERYTHING in comedy. If a heckler said something funny, or just said it once, it's not so bad. But continuous is not fair on the audience who have paid to what somebody who cannot give it his/her all because they are being distracted.
