Why this regular 18-year-old has been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

Daniella Timperley is an 18-year-old woman from Ireland, and she’s going to the royal wedding.

The teen is the first member of the public to announce that she’s received an invitation to the May 19 wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

A student at St Louis Grammar School, the high schooler is one of only 600 ‘commoners’ invited to the royal nuptials, Daily Mail reports.

Her invitation has a lot to do with her charity work, and this week she was named Top Youth Volunteer 2018 ahead of her royal invite.

LISTEN: “The Royal Wedding is problematic. There, I said it.” Post continues below.

She (like bride-to-be Markle) is heavily involved in empowering women around the world with her work at Women’s Aid ABCLN – she even represented the charity at the 2015 BBC Children in Need Youth Panel.

She has raised funds for the children in Romania; she’s spent time working in car homes; and she helps with homework clubs at her school.

“What a week it has been for Daniella!” her school, St Louis Ballymena posted to Twitter.

“Not only was she named Top Youth Volunteer 2018, she has also received an invitation to the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a result of her extensive charity work!”

The wedding is set to take place at Windsor castle on May 19. After much speculation, it’s been confirmed Meghan’s father, Thomas, will be attending.

So, too, will 250 British Army soldiers who Prince Harry served alongside during his 10-year tenure with the army. The soldiers have been enlisted to perform ceremonial duties as the 600 guests – Daniella, included – watch on in wonder.
