Excuse us, but something very concerning is happening.
In all the excitement around the approaching royal wedding, and with the whole world falling in love with the union that is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, another very important someone has been overlooked.
Kensington Palace has shared the royal family’s highlights reel of 2017… But they’ve missed Wills and Kate’s pregnancy entirely.
It’s a typical case of the younger sibling enjoying all the attention, while the eldest… Well, the eldest just has to carry on.
The announcement that Kate is pregnant with her third child was made public by Kensington Palace in September. Only THREE months later and all that’s forgotten. Pregnant? Who’s pregnant? Which one is William, again?
In the video of the highlights, shared by Kensington Palace to Instagram, there is Princess Charlotte receiving her first posey while visiting Germany.
There is the twentieth anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
There is Kate’s sister, Pippa’s, wedding.
Prince George and his first day of school had a look in, of course.
There’s even the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Christmas card, for goodness sake.
But there is no mention that Kate is pregnant and another royal – one who’s potentially in line for the Crown – will be born in April.
LISTEN: The Binge deep dives on Season Two of The Crown. Post continues after.
There’s no doubt it’s been a big year for the royal family. But excuse us, Kensington Palace, surely any sibling to Prince George and Princess Charlotte is, in fact, a highlight.
After all, they’re the cutest kids we’ve ever seen and we need more faces like this in the world, plz.
