Robin Bailey lands a shiny new job just weeks after being sacked by her former radio station.

Three weeks on from being unceremoniously axed from her high-rating morning show, popular radio host Robin Bailey has revealed she’s landed a new gig.

The former 97.3FM personality will be stepping back in front of the mic in 2017 with rival station Triple M Brisbane alongside current breakfast co-hosts Greg Martin and Ed Kavalee.

Bailey today told Mamamia today that the new role is “a dream come true”.

“I am so excited!” she said. “My boys have been walking round the house whispering to me, ‘Triple M!’. These are new chapters with new beginnings and lots to learn… There’ll be a new way of doing things but I am still doing what I love, and what’s in my blood.

“I’m so grateful that I’m still talking to Brisbane.”

Bailey's shock axing by the Australian Radio Network last month left fans, the industry and even Bailey herself reeling.

At the time, ARN put the decision down to being unable to "agree to terms" during the contract renewal process. But Bailey slammed the claim, saying "at no stage" during the negotiation did the network make her an offer for 2017.

“This was not a joint decision and I certainly saw my future with Brisbane's 97.3FM, a place that has been my home and my solace for so many years," she told Mamamia last month.

Bailey recently told Mamamia's No Filter podcast that the experience of losing her job left her feeling "beaten inside", but today she thanked those who helped her through it.

"It’s been really gratifying to get so much support from so many people throughout the entire media industry as well as listeners and friends,"she said.

"And in the last couple of weeks hearing from several media outlets radio and television with some great offers of work."

Bailey will be replaced on 97.3FM by veteran radio personality Bianca Dye.

All the best to her - she might have her work cut out for her though - Triple M made the announcement on their FB page yesterday and let's just say the majority of feedback wasn't too positive. Let's hope listeners give her a chance.
