Australia’s biggest TV personalities are fighting over a Gold Logie.

As we draw closer to another TV Week Logie Awards, there's some drama brewing between two of Australia's biggest TV personalities.

So whomst is involved? And what on earth is this about?

It all sprung from Robert Irwin being nominated for his first Gold Logie, making him the youngest male to be nominated for the coveted award. Irwin also copped a nomination for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

The I'm A Celebrity presenter is nominated for Gold alongside his co-host Julia Morris, as well as Andy Lee, Asher Keddie, Sonia Kruger, Tony Armstrong and most crucially to this story, veteran game show host Larry Edmur.

Now back to Larry Edmur, Home and Away star Lynne McGranger wrote on his post about his Gold Logie nomination and took a swipe at Irwin's nomination. Oop!

The veteran soap star wrote in the comments section "I'm sorry but ol'mate Irwin has been on telly for a bloody minute!! No disrespect intended," she commented with the hashtag 'Lazforgold'.

In response, Larry joked "Are you starting an internet feud Lynne?"

Lynne wrote back, "Could be honey."

That's a spicy meatball!

Irwin's pal and fellow Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris told Yahoo Lifestyle that while she understands Lynne's perspective, she didn't appreciate the Home and Away star taking aim at Robert.

"I understand that people aren't exposed to people from other networks very often. So I think that Lynne's love for Larry, everyone looks at Larry and they're like, 'Larry deserves it, he’s been around forever'. Well, my answer to that is, everybody deserves it on that list," she said.

"I totally get the sentiment of Lynne where you want to protect and fiercely fight for the person that you adore, but it's not appropriate to call out somebody else at someone else's expense. And Lynne knows better than that."

Julia went on to praise Lynne for her work on TV for the past 30 years.

"Lynne is a fantastic woman and she's been around the industry for a long time, she’s an incredibly talented actress, and I think her passion for wanting Larry to take it is where that comes from," she concluded.

Thankfully, there's no big beef brewing in this Gold Logie battle.

But sad news for Larry, as Real Housewives of Melbourne star and celebrity psychic Jackie Gillies recently told Edmur he won't be winning, predicting that "There will be no Gold for you."

To this, he meekly replied, "I get that, I've heard that a lot."

Justice for Larry! Sending best of luck to every personality nominated for the big award.
