He made history as the youngest ever male Gold Logie nominee.

Before becoming co-host of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Julia Morris, Robert Irwin has had his fair share of TV appearances.

He first appeared on our screens in 2007 when Bindi the Jungle Girl aired.

He since has featured in Crikey! It's the Irwins which had four seasons from 2018. He has also made appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Kelly Clarkson Show, RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under and Have You Been Paying Attention?

Irwin won the award for On-Screen Content – Talent at Mediaweek's Next of the Best Awards, before receiving his Gold Logie nomination.

"It is such an honour to be recognised amongst some of the best of the best in Australian entertainment. It means a lot for me and the message that is so intrinsic to what I do," Irwin told Media Week.

"I've been so humbled by the incredibly positive response to this season of I'm a Celebrity. I hoped to bring a little bit of my passion for wildlife and conservation to this season, and it was so meaningful to hear how much audiences enjoyed that. Hopefully, we could create not only some hilarious moments but also showcase the beauty of the African wildlife."

He dated Heath Ledger's niece, Rorie Buckey.

Speculation that Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey were dating began in November 2022, when photos surfaced of the couple grabbing burgers together.

Rorie Buckley is the daughter of Kate Ledger, Heath Ledger's sister.

Buckey's father confirmed with the Daily Mail that Irwin and Buckey were dating in December 2022 and that he gave the wildlife warrior his approval.

However, the couple kept their relationship secret until last July when they attended the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Australian premiere together.

"I think life is awesome for me every single second of every day. But when love is part of life, every single thing is so much sweeter, so much nicer, and you take that time to enjoy every single moment. We are extremely happy," Irwin told News.com.au.

Although studying a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, in December Buckley started working at Australia Zoo to further her studies by researching crocodiles.

In February Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckley announced they decided to end their relationship.

"We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all of the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future," Buckey shared on her Instagram story.

"We won't be commenting further on this, and really appreciate your respect and privacy at this time."

Since his split with Buckley, rumours have surfaced that he is dating Australia Zoo co-worker, Charlotte Briggs.

Irwin and Briggs were seen together leaving Sydney Airport, travelling to Channel 10 Studios and then checking into a luxury hotel.

However Irwin has not addressed the dating speculation.

"How's the dating world going? I know you were with someone," Kyle Sandilands asked on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.

"At the moment I've been absolutely flat out. Logies and the I'm A Celebrity stuff so it's been super busy," Irwin responded.

He is an award-winning photographer.

"I want to forge my own path and I'm really passionate about photography. I love being behind the camera," he told Stellar Magazine in 2021.

That year he won the Natural History Museum's Wildlife Photographer of the Year for his drone photo of a bushfire over Cape York.

"Last year the world stood aghast at the devastating wildfires that struck much of Australia, and this photograph depicts just one example of a staggering biodiversity loss caused by the detrimental impacts of climate change, habitat loss and pollution," Dr Doug Gurr, the director of London's Natural History Museum said.

"I hope those who see this image are enthused to learn more about the problems our natural world faces but also to take action in their daily lives — be it changing dietary or travel habits or even joining a local wildlife volunteering group," he added.

Irwin continues to take wildlife photography seriously, posting his photos to his Instagram.

He hopes to continue his father's legacy.

In an interview in March on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show, Irwin opened up about his father Steve Irwin.

"Whether it's through death, whatever circumstance it is, people will say, 'I grew up without a father figure and your dad, Robert, was a father figure to me,'" Irwin said.

"He was always there. I mean, one hundred per cent of the time, the most incredible, dedicated father. And that is such a beautiful thing. I feel so lucky that I had that. Not everyone gets that."

"He'd been spending months at a time out in the bush, rescuing crocs, honing his craft, his skills, and then becoming, you know, the most well-known wildlife conservationist in history," Irwin told GQ.

"He's not around anymore to push his message. Now it's my job."
