We’ve always known that teachers have to put up with a lot of nonsense — both from the kids they teach and their enthusiastic parents.
But we have never imagined those parents could be quite this… well, dense, when it comes to their kids.
A recent Reddit thread invited teachers to reveal the strangest things parents had ever said to them — and the teachers did not hold back.
“My son doesn’t drink bleach. He just swishes it in his mouth. What kind of parent do you think I am?!”

I don't know how some teachers do it. I love helping out in class (I only have young primary school and kinder age kids) as I feel i am contributing to the the obvious hard work they have. I'm sure they find their job rewarding but goodness, some parents must be hard. And I've dealt with some rather unruly students that just disrupt the whole class, no my kids certainly are not perfect but some parents really need to teach their kids some manners!
In saying that i have actually had to request the teachers be harder on my eldest son as he was being allowed to get away with not doing his homework (after lying to me about not having any) and his quality of writing was going backward as he was not getting any encouragement or feedback.
" She couldn't buy the books. We drove North for the holidays and there just weren't any shops selling books."
On being told her son did not complete work and had a generally poor attitude...." So, what else can he do to improve?" I dunno...do the work???
" I know I should discipline him but my ( 15 yo) son and I are best friends so he just does what he wants."
