We're calling it. This is the only lipstick you'll ever need.

Besties, gather round — it’s time to talk lipstick, and I’ve got to share what I’ve been using for the past month. If you’re a lipstick aficionado like myself, then you would definitely know that I’m talking about the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick (just $16.69 when on special at Chemist Warehouse and the number one lipstick in Australia — no biggie).

It's the lipstick that magically travels through generations of women and is a fan favourite. I guarantee that at your next drinks with the girls, at least one of you will have one of these bad boys in your bag.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick has an insane variety of shades to choose from — 54 shades to be exact. From classic reds to deep nudes and everything in between, I've found a shade for literally every single occasion.

Now, here’s where Revlon Super Lustrous truly shines (pun intended). Infused with mega-hydrators like vitamin E, this lipstick doesn't just coat your lips; it nourishes them. The formula is creamy yet lightweight and glides on like a dream without any of that sticky, heavy feel some lipsticks can leave behind.

I also have to mention the staying power of these. As someone with a huge gob, my lipstick at times can end up all over my face, especially after eating. Unfortunately, lipstick on the tip of my nose and chin is not a look. At first, I was a bit nervous trying the deeper, pigmented shades but they held up so well (a welcome surprise).

I've recently trialled five shades; some were classic staples in my makeup bag, and some were new to me.

Here are my thoughts on each one...

Blushed, Shade 420.

Blushed was the first pearl finish lipstick I've tried, and I immediately became hooked. It is the perfect mix of pigment and shine. It's a beautiful, glossy pink that looks incredible as a day lipstick. It's so subtle when you first put it on, but you can build it up to give yourself a slightly more glam look.

Uncut Ruby, Shade 810.

I'm not usually a red lip girly, but I need to talk about the staying power of this little guy. Uncut Ruby is a crème finish and she didn't budge throughout the day. I wore Uncut Ruby through my morning coffee, a pub lunch and even a little snack. My chin and nose remained lipstick-free. The crème texture also feels divine — win, win!

Extra Spicy, Shade 761.

This shade was one of the new ones I hadn't tried before. If you're trying to get into red shades like myself, Extra Spicy is a brilliant, subtle red with brown undertones. It works as both a day and a night lippy — if I'm going out to dinner straight from work, the pigment fits both social environments perfectly. I've been recommending this one to all my friends who love a bold lip with minimum effort.

Rum Raisin, Shade 535.

Okay, it's time to get real. One of my favourite shades of all time is Rum Raisin, which has been a staple in my makeup bag for years. Not only that, but it's been a staple for both my mum and nana as well. It's basically a family heirloom at this point. Rum Raisin is the perfect nude shade for darker skin tones. It blends so well with the rest of my makeup and just perfectly completes the look. I go through so many of these and will wear this shade on repeat 'til the end of time.

Softsilver Rose, Shade 430.

Similar to Blushed, Softsilver Rose also has a pearl finish. It's a deeper, rosy pink that goes with every single outfit. I've also received the most compliments on this colour than any other lipstick shade I've worn.

When I tried this shade on, I immediately added another one to my cart because I just knew I was going to go through it so fast. It's one of those shades that I want on me all the time... in my handbag, in my pocket, in my car.

I think I've found my number one staple.
