A "religious group" wants you to know your c-section didn't count as a real birth.

The group might be fake, but the rage is real.

Ever tried telling a mother who gave birth by caesarean she didn’t really give birth? No? Perhaps don’t.

A Facebook page claiming to be run by an American religious group, The Disciples of the New Dawn, has been causing a stir online after they circulated a series of memes criticising mothers for giving birth by c-section.

“Face the facts: You didn’t really give birth,” one of the pictures reads. “You caught a lucky break. Please show your respect to superior women who actually had what it took to get the job done.”

The image was shared more than 50,000 times accompanied by the following caption:

“Good advice from Matriarch Graber on behalf of The Circle of Matriarchs. They have delivered many babies over the years, NATURALLY and not once has needed a C-Section or pharmaceutical toxins. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing as it is the zenith of a woman’s role in a moral Christian society. If God has decided to call you home, it is not up to you or a doctor to reject Him. You may find yourself cast into the lake of fire for doing so. God’s Peace.”

You hear that mums? Don’t cop out and do it the easy way, lest you be hurled into the lake of fire.

JUST STOP BEING SO SELFISH.

The page claims to be run by the Kentucky-based group under the direction of Father Patrick Embry — but we’re not so sure.

Regardless, it pissed off A LOT of mothers and spawned a series of protest groups, which pleaded with Facebook administrators to have the offending page dismantled.

The Disciples of the New Dawn are also responsible for a number of other anti-vax, pro-life, pro-gun pages including The Dawn Guard Militia and Junior Disciples, which are still active and spreading some spot on satire (or some really backwards messages) and a lot of offence.

Here’s some of the other pictures doing the rounds. Thanks again, God.

Mamamia just birthed a parenting podcast. And Andrew Daddo was there.

Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I get the impression that they are mocking those who do think they are somehow superior/have better children for giving birth naturally without drugs. It just screams satire to me.
