Chyka Keebaugh is, quite simply, the gift that keeps on giving.
Not long ago, Keebaugh gave us a sneak peek into the laundry on her website Chyka. This white-washed, colour coordinated laundry of dreams gave us a strange and unprecedented desire to do a load of washing.
This time, the star of the Real Housewives of Melbourne has taken us inside her shoe closet because her shoe closet is more like a shoe room and it’s one of the most satisfyingly organised rooms I’ve ever seen. (Yes, her shoes get an entire room.)

Writing on her website, Chyka wrote that "out of all the rooms in my home, this is the one I get the most questions about." And taking a through the space, we have an inkling as to why.
She goes on to explain that "each section of the space is meticulously organised" and she is "pedantic about the way [I] store and care" for each pair of shoes, appealing to every one of us who finds such pleasure in seeing things so meticulously organised.

"Like everything in my dressing room I like my shoes to be colour blocked, I don’t want to have to search through my entire collection of heels to find that perfect pair," she added.
Because if you own enough pairs of shoes to be able to colour-block them successfully then you are doing pretty well for yourself. My few pairs of black and nude heels are nodding with approval.

But for people like me who don't venture too far from the neutral tones when it comes to shoes, she has a hint.
"Love the style but not the colour? Get your shoes dyed. It really does work," she wrote.

Having an entire room dedicated to just a shoe collection would no doubt mean maintenance and up-keep is a little more important0.
Chyka acknowledges there are a few things she needs to do to make sure it says clean, recommending "vacuuming out the bottom of your shoe shelves a few times a year" even though a lot of us don't have space in our wardrobe let alone extra space to vacuum.
Regardless, if we did, it would be a small price to pay to simply exist in this realm of organisation, shoes and cleanliness.

I would or could never understand this kind of consumerist, hoarding mentality. Such a waste of resources. How many shoes can u wear in a year???
