Pulling up her “loose grey sweater” to reveal her stomach, Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz announced she and James Bond actor husband Daniel Craig are expecting their first child together.
In an interview with The New York Times, the British actress said she and Craig are excited to meet their baby son or daughter.
“I’ll be showing soon,” the 48-year-old told Times reporter Maureen Dowd.
“Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human.
“We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery.”
Weisz and 50-year-old Craig have been married for seven years. Previously, the pair had been friends since 1994, Glamour U.K. reports.

According to Metro, the couple met while in college, but only started dating after filming 2010’s Dream House together.
Weisz has a son, Henry, born in 2006, from a previous relationship with American filmmaker and producer Darren Aronofsky.
Speaking of how they keep their notoriously private relationship out of the public eye and off Instagram, Weisz said they literally “don’t know how” to be #couplegoals.
“I really take my hat off to [couples who are open on social media]. But Daniel and I are really similar. We just literally don’t know how to do that. We’re just really crap at talking about our private lives,” she told The Times.
“[But we’re] very happy being married, very, very happy.”
The statistical likelihood of falling pregnant using one’s own eggs, and having a healthy pregnancy over the age of 45 is said to be one per cent according to Healthline.
Weisz hasn’t yet spoken about whether she and Craig conceived through IVF. And she might, justifiably so, choose not to at all.

Guaranteed this pregnancy came about using donor eggs. Yet another example of 'celebrities' nudging 50, announcing a pregnancy and perhaps giving false hope to women post 45 that they can conceive without intervention too. It won't happen.
Wait for the inundation of anecdotal stories of someone's 'nan' or mother conceiving naturally when they were in their late 40s or 50s
Why the nasty tone? She’s announced she’s pregnant because SHE IS! There is a baby growing inside her. Is she less pregnant because it may be a donor egg? Of course not. What are you effectively suggesting about adoptive parents or other families using donor eggs? All pretend or fake?
The onus is on women over 45 to get their medical facts and advice from health professionals. If they base their hope on what celebrities do or say, they are misguided at best.
Exactly!
