We’re all guilty of being fascinated by twins.
Blogger Annie Nolan is putting an end to the “Frequently Asked Questions” she gets asked about being a mum to twins. It is quite tremendous.
The 26 year old mum, who lives in Melbourne, posted the following image on Instagram, saying:
“…You get asked a series of questions/hear a series of statements EVERYTIME you go out. I know most people are coming from a great place and are just curious however many can be quite intrusive and after a while it’s just plain exhausting. And since I was heading into the city, I knew the questions would be coming thick and fast… but I chickened out on the train and took them off!”
The hilarious image that Annie posted.
The signs read:
YES, THEY ARE MINE.
YES, THEY ARE TWINS.
YES, BOTH GIRLS
NO, NOT IDENTICAL
YES, I KOW THEY LOOK ALIKE THOUGH.
YES, I’M SURE THEY AREN’T IDENTICAL
CONCEIVED BY F**CKING
BORN VIA C-SECTION
YOU HAVE TWINS IN YOUR FAMILY? “GREAT”
THEY DON’T RUN IN MY FAMIILY…UNTIL NOW
YES, MY HANDS ARE FULL (sometimes with 2 glasses of red wine)
YES, TRIPLETS WOULD BE HARDER
Annie says that she is frequently bombarded questions from people who are a little too curious about her twin daughters, Delphine and Cheska: “I’m so happy to talk but I don’t think people understand that it’s tiring being a mum of twins, or just multiple kids. We’re fighting the poo-feed-sleep-bath schedule and stopping to talk all the time interrupts the strict routine that we hold to just to keep our world turning,” Annie told The Daily Mail.
Take a look at Annie’s beautiful and fun children: (Post continues after gallery.)
On her blog, Uncanny Annie, Annie says that she got the idea after joking with other parents of twins about the questions they are always asked. Annie was brave enough to keep the signs on during her train trip into the city, but “chickened out” before while she was on the train
The Daily Mail says that Annie is vision impaired and so she spends a lot of her time catching public transport. When she is stopped in the street, it often disrupts her routine that keeps her steady.
More twin talk: The one thing that people need to stop saying to my twins.
We wish her all the best with what looks like a fun and full-on family adventure.

Rude, rude, rude. This woman needs to get off her high horse! Get over yourself. Why not be happy you have such beautiful children and people are interested. If people didn't give two shits about you, you'd be writing/complaining about that.
Wowee - now, curiosity is something we're "guilty" of?!
I'm a teacher.....and every day I encourage the children in my class to be curious, to ask questions, to find out more about the world they live in! From real people, if they can!
Heaven help me they come across grumps like this, who find answering questions so "exhausting" they'd have their small children hold signs bearing profanity, rather than engage in conversation.
Yes, it must be very tiring for you, but have you ever heard that saying, "Be kind, always. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about." Who knows, you having two minutes to satisfy someone's curiosity about your gorgeous children might just make their day.
I didn't find this "sassy" or funny - I found it sad and quite arrogant.
