I remember people telling me to read Greenlights and how great it was. Honestly, I struggled to get past the first few chapters and couldn’t finish it. It was so self indulgent and cringe. Which was disappointing as I had always loved him in his movies. This article is bang on 👏
Thank you for sharing as it takes a lot of bravery to be so open. I found it an interesting perspective from someone directly dealing with addiction. I have a family member struggling with it also and have also seen through their experiences there is not a uniform solution and that it takes so much work to stay on the path and find what works. It’s so hard being someone on the outside but desperate to help, and not knowing what you can do to help. Any advice you share to family members trying to support someone struggling with alcohol addiction?
