However, Add to your experience that it goes on and on for months, you lose your ability to work, maintain friendships, get out and shop or do daily tasks you took for granted, and the emotional toll of uncertainty and fear and you are describing what thousands of Australians (including me) have lived with for years and sometimes decades. It is completely devastating to every part of your life, and yet Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is never talked about or taken seriously. Even by the medical profession. And there is still no treatment!! 

I hope long COViD finally sparks the research and recognition so desperately needed for ME/CFS (and long COVID) sufferers.
