Is there still somewhere to donate to her children ?
This article resonates so much for me! Whilst we didn’t actively have a no children rule I did mention it was our preference for the wedding. Mainly driven by the winery venue (not so child friendly) and cost of additional guests. A few guests said it wasn’t possible to attend so we did make exceptions as it wasn’t an explicit rule. That said looking back I wish I’d been more inclusive for friends and family with children. At least more understanding that the perspective of a parent.
Such a tough situation, and I’ve had a few friends in this exact decision point years ago. Some stayed others left, with each scenario so unique. I have two dear friends who chose to stay and do not have the children they dearly wanted and the anger is very real.
Hoping she is okay and surrounded by support. The public response and loss of a job doesn’t feel right at all.
