Amazing that your food bills are so low, especially with a coeliac child in the family. That's incredible.

I never thought of myself as someone who liked beards, but after seeing this article I have changed my mind completely.

I used to do my makeup every day and then got bored and lazy about it. The one good thing about makeup every day was always having spf on my face. I often forget to use sunsceeen, though I wear a broad brimmed hat and stick to the shade mostly.

He's right, we have been putting off doing the things that need to be done. 80% of the Blue Mountains has been burned, it is an ecological disaster. An absolute travesty.

The time for action is now. This Government and all those who came before them have done little to combat climate change and it has to end. And individually we can do simple things every day to help.

It really depends on how good the movie is. Doesn't matter if it is remake or not. The departed was a remake and won best picture.

They should all give back their houses and tax payer funded lifestyles. The Royals are obsolete, imaging getting that much taxpayer funded money for cutting ribbons and doing charity work. Millions of people do charity work every day and don't get palaces and tax payer money to splash out with. It's ridiculous.

And he's so good too. I think he deserved the award personally.

And why wouldn't she not want to be friends with him? He's proven time and again just how awful he is.

Beebs November 15, 2019

I agree, oversharing or not she's going through a hard time. I'm sure everyone can agree and send sympathy.

Hi JD, I'm a twin mum as well, plus two singletons. I agree with you 100%. I just wanted to say, it will get better I promise. School was Gosend. You won't know yourself. Good luck!

They are middle class and they are also experts in their fields. They know why they are protesting, they know what is at stake. They feel that these kinds of protests need to be happening, not because they want to do it, but because they feel at this point it is needed.

Beebs October 14, 2019

Lol, you remind me of a good friend of mine, he's the same.
Their aim is to make it less bad, just like all the other non civil disibedience protestors that came before them that did it the "right" way.

Yes it's happening but dowe want it to be bad or completely catastrophic? Scientists keep saying we need to do both, we need to sharply curb the factors that are causing it and invest in technologies that will slow it down and not contribute to it.

What was going through the divorce lawyer's head? "My client can't pay, so I'll marry him instead". Ugh.

So far behind what? And who is ignoring China? Do you mean that there are no articles on here about climate change and China? If so I back you 100%, would somebody please for the love of God write a piece on China and climate change, please, so that Les can stop asking about it in every single comment😀

It's not that I am forgiving or not forgiving. I actually think it's not ideal at all, that in 2019 we haven't made substantial changes already, and that we are even having to have conversations like this. And I wouldn't personally do it myself. If you read up on these protestors (which I did yesterday), most are new to activism and don't want to be doing it either, but have decided to because they feel there is nothing else left to be done.

So my question is where do we go from here? How do we get our Governement to take serious action? Or do we even bother trying? People have tried peaceful lawful protests for decades, hasn't worked, scientists have been calling for a serious reduction in carbon emissions for decades, still hasn't worked. Government agencies, councils and NGO's have been calling for action for years nothing. So where do we go from here? Just go "oh well, at least we tried lawfully". Or do you keep doing the same things over and over that never work and are never going to work? Or do you do something else that may be unpalatable to the majority, but has been shown throughout history to have caused significant social changes? I don't know what the answer is, I do know something needs to be done, but I'm just not sure what that something is.

Beebs October 13, 2019

You think the overwhelming majority of the world's scientists are on the train to crazy town? Interesting.

Beebs October 12, 2019

The UK has passed into law a carbon emmission reduction of 100% by 2050. We could absolutely match that.

Acknowledging a climate emergency is a start, it is not all that's needed by any stretch of the imagination.

China is terrible, but I don't think the world should just give up due to some rogue nations. We have a responsibilty to do what we can to try and ease global warming, it's to late to stop it of course.

I'm not sure what NIMBY means to be honest, but that photo of Greta and Soros was photoshopped. Look it up. It's been debunked time and time again.

Tourists from all over Australia and the world to be fair. I thought you'd like that, don't you like tourists brining money into the country?

The rocks is actually one of the most popular places to visit. It's the site of the first permanent house ever built in Australia, which you can also visit, very historically significant place not to.mention beautiful. And it wouldn't be here without the actions of a few who engaged in civil disobedience.

The problem with those on the far right is that they think that everyone left of them,
Conservatives, small l liberals and centerists are socialists or communists in disguise.

China is a problem, of course they are, no one is saying they aren't. But we live here and our Governement is refusing to do anything, that is why people are protesting. We cannot change China, we can however get our Governement to step up. You go on about the election being our chance to act on climate change and that we chose not too, but the truth is the majority of LNP supporters want action on Climate change and want an LNP Governement.

You bring China up in every post, I'm assuming you've thought about it a lot, what exactly do you think we should do regarding China and their carbon emmissions?

Beebs October 12, 2019

Yep, spot on.

I don't have a favourite child, I have 4 wildly different children all with completely different personalities who at times all drive me insane. But I don't favour one or two above the others. I love different things about each of them.

I also grew up not the favourite. It's funny, even though nothing was ever said, it didn't have to be, all of my friends saw it, my boyfriends saw it. And it hurt. Now I have suddenly become the favourite. Which makes my brother upset and me just feel awkward. Playing favourites with your kids is unfair, if you do feel like that, please, please keep it to yourself and don't splash it all over the internet like Jaimie King. That's just cruel.
