This is really well said. I’m about to start cycle no 5, it’s a long cycle including genetic testing so it will be 3-4 months until I can even get to transfer. It’s also probably the last cycle we will be able to afford. It’s so rough and reading this today has made me feel less alone. 

Four rounds of IVF and a miscarriage into the quest for a second child, now the wrong side of 35 and physically, emotionally and financially wrecked -  this question breaks my heart every time. Some people are lucky they can get and stay pregnant without trouble but even those people may not want to discuss their family plans with strangers! 

Hi team, this is an interesting article but I was surprised by how afforable the most expensive baby was here. Maybe the question wasn’t seen by any IVF parents? My son cost $30k plus scans, OB and hospital costs. I know several parents who have had to spend $70k+ to have a baby. Just adding a perspective.
