When The Exorcist came out, I was very close in age to Linda Blair.  I read the book first, which scared the life out of me!  A couple of years later, I attended a Catholic high school.  We used to carry the paperback around at school and managed to piss most of the nuns off- or perhaps, they feared for our souls????
