I have friends who have said similar things, the weight loss was due to their stress etc...
Good for you that you are able to see past people's opinions and recognize what best supports your health and wellbeing. For some people those comments would put them at risk of disordered eating behaviours.
I believe there are psychologists who have an interest in body acceptance, so if anyone is struggling that may be a good place to start.
