This reeks of conceit and out dated thinking disguised as “honesty”. I hope the kids don’t get a whiff of this.
This has actually surprised me and makes me appreciate every single fabulous mum in our mums Group. I love my supportive, fun, kind and honest team. Def worth the chance of something great by joining one. And if it turns out to be terrible, def worth trying to find your people.
@s227 ahh, so interesting- I must admit, I am not across what other states do- always curious to know what is happening! I think NSW still has some way to go with reading, but it is great to see that it is well underway.
NSW Department of Education has provided so much professional learning on this and NSW teachers are implementing this in their classrooms. NSW teachers use explicit teaching of phonics etc as it is in our new syllabus from NESA. Yes, teachers weren’t necessarily taught this at uni, but we are always learning and improving- and this is another example.
