Murrawari people, Nyemba people and Nyirrpa people, who each occupied different areas throughout the district. Gamilaroi people were further to the east and they occupied Coonabarabran through to Moree and the Queensland border. If your Mother was born in Bourke then she isn’t Gamilaroi.
