One of my friends works at a major Melb. hospital as a nurse in the emergency department. Currently, 3 of her housemates have tested positive to covid and are isolating in the same house as her. She has been cleared to CONTINUE working at the hospital during this time. This is madness to me. My friend has been told she has to isolate from the general public - ie; she can't buy petrol from the servo or shop for food at the supermarket yet she is allowed to interact with sick individuals from the general public in a hospital?! How much pressure are we putting on nurses during this time?
