I have always felt I have to try to please my mum, which is tricky. I have an easier relationship with my dad.
As a teacher of 30 years, and mum, I found some if the comments to be hilariously true (such a private school uniforms. I far prefer the comfy and practical public school uniforms we have here), however some do not apply to all states. For example, here in SA we do not use the term "tuck shop". Also, the system to attain an ATAR varies from state to state. NSW has a more tradionally competitive system than some other states. And yes our kids eat their lunch outside in the fresh air, usually under shade in summer, which is lovely!
My friend is about to have a stem cell bone marrow transplant as she has AML. Im sure it would encourage her, if she could email someone who has successfully gone through it. Would anyone be happy for her to do that?
