for $500 per month? $125 per week? I mean no amount can make up for this but Mum obvs gets a dopamine boost from the attention.
Fabulous recap! I made a Jono Machiavelli tshirt design last night and I was going to do one of Jack Is A Dickhead Show with Tori defending a glazed ham but frankly I am spent.
@coolpete36 sorry for the horribly late reply, it was my daugher, the middle one, that knew him, i have raised her to be a fierce feminist. And yeah, 100%, what you have said is true
@hopey yes it really worries me as a Mum to boys, am I doing the right thing? Am I teaching and loving them enough to prevent them from doing this? How are we as a people bringing up our boys to be not "Good Men" but actual good men?
My kids went to that school, one of my kids knew him and described him as lovely as you mentioned. Describing his privilege is not helpful I think, or maybe it is. He is the same as every other manthat was angry that he couldn't control a woman so did the unthinkable. I think your point is, and I agree wholeheartedly, is that it was a person thought of as a good man, and this is what some men do when they have the audacity and entitlement to decide what a woman should or should not be doing. It sickens me, it sickens my family, and as my oldest son pointed out this is the 55th case this year in Australia of a woman living her life and it didn't agree with the wishes of a man. I am devastated for Lilie and all of the other women who have been victim to this monstrous entitlement. As a Mum of 3, 2 of whom are boys its terrifying wondering what we are doing right or wrong and how we as parents and as a community are teaching our boys to be in the world. I am so sad. But not just me, we all who are reading this are sad. And furious.
How dare she! how rude! she probably though at that moment she was being kind and inspirational because she has an inflated sense of her own importance. its like when people say something is "flattering". Disgusting. Get in the bin.
Much needed laugh today, thank you
