Hey! Great to see you talking about sustainability but it seems to me you are contributing to the greenwashing with this article. First off - sustainable materials don’t make fashion sustainable, nor are all ‘natural materials’ sustainable as I think this implies. Also, using materials like using tencel or recycled polyester should be a bare minimum for all brands - and most big brands are doing this - and most of them aren’t sustainable as they aren’t paying workers fairly and are generally overproducing.
It would be great if these types of fashion posts could have a wider range of suggestions to include higher price points and ethical/sustainable options as coats can be a great investment piece where people might be open to spending more on a locally made label. Options like Obus, arnsdorf, the ark, and upcycled brands like la Guapa would all be amazing to see on these posts. I think it is such a missed opportunity to include examples of brands who support their workers and our local creative communities.
