Great article even though it was heartbreaking. Sounds like from what you're saying even a skilled practitioner might miss the cues of illness they'd normally see because of a lack of training. Thanks for taking the brave position of advocating for BIPOC people. Australia is a better place with voices like yours standing out in the crowd.
YAS!!! I get that restaurants are doing it tough but what sort of society have we become? Millions of cooking shows means that most of us can whip up a decent meal. Dining out is an ‘experience’ and we ARE ‘entitled’ to share this experience with our families and that includes our children. Who by the way will one day become (full meal paying) teens/ adults / parents themselves. And some people only order only entrees. Will there be a compulsory main course rule soon? Lol. I’m going to keep taking my children out and hope I and they feel as welcome as always. And I’m happy with a minimum spend if that’s what it takes because I’m sure we would exceed it anyway!
