I'd bet my last dollar on Fergus being the killer. He killed Beth because she was the cause of him and Vivienne to fight. He killed vivienne to frame her. What better way to get away with murder? Also,  his claim that vivienne was going to give up custody of the kids doesn't add up as most mothers wouldn't easily give up a child. Especially if it's because of a marriage break down.
