I have had two caesareans by choice - because I wanted them. I have had none of the issues you describe - my stomach is as flat as ever, my bladder is as strong as ever and I have no numbness at all and I feel as good and normal as I did before pregnancy. I also don’t understand your comment ‘Very few women elect for a c-section when it’s not the best choice for their baby’ - I weighed up all my options with my trusted OB and decided that it was the best option for me AND my baby.

I don’t understand why this is even an issue. It’s 2021. There have been medical advancements in birthing babies. How amazing is it that women can look at those options, weigh up the risks and make a decision that suits their circumstances. I chose a caesarean and absolutely loved it, it was the best option for me and my baby, and I will have another without any further thought.
