I think this article is spot on. I am a mother of 4 kids aged 9 to 15 and yes I am still raising 4 kids. I chose not to go back to full time work and the value of motherhood is so under rated in today's society.  It is expected that you pop out a baby and go back to work in less than 6 months. When I had 3 kids under 3, people kept asking me when I was going back to work. I was honestly horrified at this as it is not an easy task to get out the door, let alone go back to work. Mainly if you look after your kids you just have to pat yourself on the back and be happy with what you have chosen. My kids have been raised by me and not someone else who would never care about them as much as I do! And for me and my family this has been the best.
