Yeah the Boys is Facebook page that posts a lot if sexist jokes, including jokes about domestic violence. Lots of people have reported it, but Facebook being Facebook, it "doesn't go against thir community standards." Depressing to see it inspiring courage in men to behave in misogynistic ways in public. 

That comment about Priya’s husband having a warped understanding of money and not recognizing how much it costs to raise kids- that seems so common and I feel like it’s associated with people not fully considering kids to be people with needs.  It’s noticeable in the fuss so many make about child support. They resent it because they perceive it as money in their exes pockets, rather than food in their kids mouths and clothes on their backs. Some also perceive it as payment for services rendered - I don’t get to see my kids, so why should I have to pay for them? Because they still exist whether you can see them or not, and they still deserve to have their needs met. 

Not only is it not your job, it’s not something you can reasonably hope to control. She is going to grow up with the experience of having her Dad dismiss her needs and feelings and force her into situations where she feels unsafe, and her feelings towards him will reflect that. It’s just not something you can control, and guess what happens when you are pouring energy into trying to control things that are not reasonably within you’re control?  Burnout.
