I feel like Karen is telling my story. I’ve been teaching for 38 years and I can’t do it anymore. My health is too important. I am currently on leave and that runs out very soon. I can’t access my super either. It is certainly a very worrying time. As Karen said, teaching was my identity and now I’ve lost that. I don’t know what to do with my life now. We are told to look after our own well-being, which we have done but with the lack of support from the top we are fighting a losing battle.
When discussing how to solve this type of behaviour at a school I worked at, a male AP said “boys will be boys.”
